🔒 How the consent gate works

Restricted tools are hidden from your AI until needed. When it wants to use one, it must first call enable_tool and explain its intentions to you. You confirm. Then — and only then — the tool becomes available for that session. The AI can't sneak past this: it's enforced at the proxy level, not in the client.

AI: I'd like to create a draft document for you at ~/Documents/draft.md. To do this I need to enable write_file. Shall I go ahead?

You: Yes, go for it.

AI: [calls enable_tool, then writes the file]
